The countdown to May the Fourth (be with you) is on. I can’t believe Robert will be three! Jackson turns one this weekend too. Big birthday week coming up in our house!
Before Robert was born I didn’t give May the fourth much thought. Tom and I were always bigger fans of Cinco de Mayo. Now that we have our own little Star Wars baby we have to celebrate Star Wars Day. It makes it even more fun now that he loves the movies.
Next week we will be celebrating Robert’s birthday with a Jedi training play date.
I was able to put together a few fun things to do at this play date for super cheap.
The first activity we will do for the play date is Jedi training. I made lightsabers from Dollar Tree noodles (FYI they are only 94 cents at Walmart), duct tape and electrical tape also from Dollar Tree.
I cut each noodle in half with scissors then added the tape. It couldn’t be easier. I wish I could claim this idea as my own but I didn’t come up with it, I found it on Pinterest from Tastefully Frugal.
Then I printed out Darth Vader and stormtrooper images and laminated them to use as “target practice” with Dollar Tree water guns.
For less than $10 we are going to have a fun Star Wars Day playdate!
