Love to shop small, but don’t have the time to go to all your favorite local shops? Read on to see my #1 tip to shop small online!
Shopping small is a fad that I can definitely get behind. I’m not usually a fan of fads because they tend to fade pretty fast. I sure hope supporting small businesses never fades. Even if it does, I’ll still be there supporting small businesses.
Fifteen years ago I was the crazy girl who paid $10 more to get a Harry Potter book from my local bookstore instead of going to a chain bookstore. My desire to support small businesses is stronger than my desire to save money.
#1 Tip to Shop Small Online: Use PayPal
The good news is that I can still get great deals and support small businesses by purchasing through PayPal. I saved a lot of time this holiday season by shopping in the comfort of my home and not dealing with traffic or crazy crowds at the stores.
Here are the gifts I bought through PayPal this year as Christmas presents.
Honey from Bee Raw
How cool is it that I’m able to support our local Florida beekeepers through PayPal? I love it! I just know that my little sister will love it too.
Soap from Wild Mountain Soap Company
Meats from Snake River Farms
The highlight of this shopping experience came when the Snake River Farms package arrived with the dry ice. Robert loved learning about dry ice. He was entertained for a good 30 minutes just watching it!
I’ve used PayPal for years and love the security it offers. Here are some other cool fact that I just learned about PayPal.
- PayPal has an option called One Touch that allows you to pay for items in your shopping basket without having to enter credit card or billing details — activate it here:
- PayPal Credit can be used for bigger ticket items. They have an easy payment option, and you can even pay your account through PayPal.
