Happy Friday! Time for a week in review post and a deal. I can’t wait to share this Fashion Friday Deal: Dressing a Bump. This post does contain affiliate links, but that is only because I love Cents of Style and Bluehost.
Guess what arrived this week? My second semester baby bump! Just in time to tell you about this amazing fashion Friday deal that is allowing me to dress my bump without spending a fortune.
Fashion Friday Deal: Dressing a Bump (perfect without a bump too)
Y’all, I’m completely obsessed with Cents of Style lately. I rarely shop online, but have bought 3 things from them in the last month. They have the absolute best deals when it comes to trendy clothing. The best part is that they have deals almost every single day. Their prices are amazing on their own, but with the deals, the prices are jaw dropping low. Take this Fashion Friday deal for example. These tunics are only $19.95 + FREE SHIPPING w/code TOPSTORY. The code is valid 3/24 – 3/26. They are originally $34.95. What a deal, right?
How I’m Styling it With the Bump
Of course, you don’t have to have a bump to wear a tunic, but they sure are forgiving if you do have a less than perfect stomach.
Picking out clothes during the first half of pregnancy is tricky because no matter what you always look like you have a beer gut, not a cute bump. That’s why I’m loving this tunic. Here are my tips for styling it with a bump.
- Buy it one size bigger. This way you can use it throughout pregnancy and still feel comfortable in it afterwards.
- Pair it with leggings. Need I say more?
- Keep it simple because comfort is key. Pair with comfortable shoes.
I’m totally in love with this look. Can I please have all the tunics? For all my life? Not just pregnancy. The new receptionist at my OBGYN actually told me I looked too skinny to be pregnant when I wore this for my 15 week appointment. She made my day because even though I know I’m not huge yet, I can’t help but feel big and awkward since I can’t fit into anything with a zipper anymore.
Week in Review
This week started out really well. The Monday after spring break was probably the most productive day I’ve ever had in my life. I went to the grocery store, dropped off Robert at preschool and had dinner in the crock pot all before 9 a.m.
Then Jackson got a stomach bug. Fun. Thank goodness he will still drink my recipe for DIY Pedialyte.
That same night I found out that a transfer to a new web hosting service failed. I thought I’d lost everything I’d posted in 2017. Luckily I was able to transfer back to BlueHost and now I’m staying put for a while.
Needless to say, this week was full of ups and downs. Luckily more ups than downs.
The best part of my week was hands down getting to hear the new baby’s heartbeat. That sound never gets old.
A big thanks for my good friend, Kristin, from Kristin Moore Photo for taking these pictures of me. She’s pregnant too- due this weekend!
Happy Friday everyone! Enjoy your weekend!
