You can make money as a stay at home mom!

I love being a stay at home mom. It’s by far the best job I’ve ever had. The bosses can be a little demanding, but all in all, it’s a good gig. While I love everything about staying home, I’ve missed the paycheck of a regular job. Over the last few years I’ve found a some great ways to make an extra income without working a 9-5 job.

If I can do it, you can too.

7 of the best secrets to make money as a stay at home mom

How to Make Money as a Stay at Home Mom

Here are 7 ways to make money as a stay at home mom. I know moms who make real money doing each of these jobs. I myself make money through blogging, social media marketing, and odd jobs.

1. Sell stuff on Amazon

Yup, you can sell stuff on Amazon. I have friends that do this and they really do make money! Learn from the pros by taking The Selling Family’s course. Get all the info here.

2. Teach work out classes

Do you go to the gym with your little ones? Imagine getting paid to work out! It’s pretty easy to get certified to teach fitness classes. Did you know I’m certified to teach barre classes? It only took $100 and a month’s worth of work and I was certified! If you are interested, ask your gym what certifications they accept and then follow the steps to get certified.

3. Start a blog

It’s taken a while for me to make money blogging, but it’s finally happening. Plenty of people make good money blogging. I actually know bloggers who make $30,000 a month. Yes, a month! While I make far from that, I’m proof that you can make money blogging. Ready to start one of your own? Get started here for only $3.95 a month.

4. Become a social media influencer

This one doesn’t always pay. Sometimes I only get free stuff, but sometimes I get paid a lot. My latest social media influencer campaign is paying $700 for a total of 12 social media shares. Not bad, right?

5. Work odd jobs

This one can be hard, but if you really need money, let people know that you are available for odd jobs. Check out Fiver, sell something on Etsy, become a virtual assistant or watch other people’s kids.

6. Work at a co-op

Several stores and farms in my area pay people in product. It’s a cool way to get food or products without spending money!

7, Direct sales

While I’ve never found a product I love enough to sell, many of my friends do well with direct sales. Check out my direct sales series to learn more about the pros and cons.

8. Work at night for Uber or Lyft

If you really need to make some extra money, try heading to work at night for a few hours when your partner comes home. Uber, Uber Eats, and Lyft are great ways to make some extra income.
