Naples, Florida, with its beautiful beaches and family-friendly atmosphere, is an ideal destination for a memorable family vacation. However, when it comes to dining out with the little ones, finding the right restaurant isn’t always easy.
With numerous excellent food options here in SWFL, it can be overwhelming to find the perfect spot to dine out with the kiddos. We have everything from food trucks to fine dining, and selecting the right location to dine with your kids can make all the difference in whether it’s an enjoyable experience or one you want to rush through as quickly as possible.
Having lived in SWFL for over 10 years, I’ve experienced everything from newborns to young adults dining with us. After many great experiences and a few not-so-great ones, I’ve compiled a list of places worth visiting, even with the kids in tow. The list is categorized into upscale, relaxed, and pizza options because, well, kids. Here are some of my favorite family-friendly restaurants in Naples, FL.
Upscale Family Friendly Restaurants in Naples, FL
If you can only pick one upscale place to take the family, choose The Turtle Club. After an extensive remodel post-Hurricane Ian, the legendary beachfront dining location reopens in March 2024. While the menu is considered fine dining and might be the least kid-friendly spot on my list, it’s worth it for the unique experience of fine dining with a sunset directly over the Gulf of Mexico.
Pro Tip: Skip this if you still have unruly toddlers or fussy babies. This is more of a special spot for kids eager to try out their fancy table manners. Luckily, if you do have a fussy baby or unruly toddler, the beach is right there and oh so calming!
Located in the heart of downtown Naples on 3rd Street South, the original Tommy Bahama restaurant offers a taste of the tropics for the whole family. With its Caribbean-inspired menu and relaxed atmosphere, it’s a favorite among locals and visitors alike. The nearby Naples Pier and beautiful beaches make it an even better place to enjoy a meal with your loved ones. The kids’ menu is reasonably priced, and the outdoor seating makes it a great spot for louder kids.
Pro Tip: Sit outside at Tommy Bahama in Naples, FL, for a family-friendly vibe.
Situated off the historic 3rd Street South district of Naples, Ridgway Bar & Grill is a staple in our rotation. Tony Ridgway has been operating restaurants in Naples since 1971, and his establishments stand the test of time. Ridgway is a family-friendly restaurant with a reputation for delicious scratch kitchen food. The diverse menu and warm atmosphere make it a favorite among families looking for a great meal, with Sunday brunch being a particular highlight.
Pro Tip: Skip dessert and take a walk next door to Tony’s off 3rd to pick a selection directly from the bakery display.
If your family firmly follows the carnivore diet, visit Jimmy P’s. With a butcher store on one side and an upscale steakhouse on the other, Jimmy P’s Charred offers a varied menu that includes delicious options for both adults and kids. The warm and inviting ambiance makes it a great place for the entire family to enjoy a quality meal together.
Laid Back Atmosphere for Dining Out with Kids in Naples, FL
Situated on Naples Bay, The Dock at Crayton Cove is a perfect place for a family meal. With its seafood-centric menu, including popular choices like coconut shrimp and mahi-mahi, it provides a great option for those seeking fresh seafood in a relaxed atmosphere. The Dock is also known for its happy hour and live music, ensuring a good time for everyone.
Pro Tip: If you’re renting a boat, this is a great spot to dock for a meal.
If you’re looking for a locavore taste of Southwest Florida, The Local is a must-visit. This farm-to-table restaurant offers a varied menu with a focus on locally sourced ingredients. Families appreciate the kid-friendly atmosphere and the availability of a dedicated kids’ menu, making it one of the best restaurants for the entire family.
Pro Tip: Check for seasonal specials; we’ve visited during the Family Night specials, and the kids absolutely love it there.
Known for mouthwatering burgers, Brooks Burgers is more than just a local favorite- it was actually named the #2 burger joint in the nation by TripAdvisor! With a focus on creating the perfect burger, it’s a great option for families who appreciate a classic American meal in a laid-back setting.
Pro Tip: Get the doughnut burger. You’ll thank me! Or at least your kids will!
Seed to Table, one of our local grocery stores, may seem like an unlikely place for a family meal, yet it continues to be a favorite with locals. With its varied menu offering fresh and delicious options, free childcare, and full bar, it caters to both adults and younger children. The relaxed atmosphere and proximity to Naples Grande Beach Resort make it a perfect choice for the entire family.
Pro Tip: Even if you don’t decide to dine at Seed to Table, make sure to pop in for some groceries and a wild time. Be aware that the owner, Alfie Oakes, is very opinionated about his politics. So don’t go if excessive political signs make you anxious. While some of the signs and messages can be a bit hateful, everyone is nice and kind in person regardless of your politics.
For a family dining experience on Naples Bay, Pinchers in Tin City is a great option. Kids eat free, and the menu boasts a selection of mouthwatering seafood, including coconut shrimp and mahi-mahi. The Tin City location adds to the charm, providing a picturesque backdrop for a great time with the family. I admit that the location can seem a bit like a tourist trap, and maybe it is, but even as locals, my kids and I love it!
For a unique dining experience, head to Celebration Park, Naples’ first food truck park. With a variety of food options, it’s a great place for the entire family to enjoy a meal together. The relaxed atmosphere and outdoor seating create a friendly experience for kids of all ages.
Pro Tip: Celebration Park is located on a canal of water. Be aware that this may not be the best place for small toddlers who like to run away and explore.
Harold’s Place is a local gem of a hole in the wall located in Gulfcoast Inn. Known for its laid-back atmosphere and delicious menu, Harold’s Place is a family-friendly spot that shouldn’t be missed. Put the kids in their swimsuits and let them swim while you relax with a happy hour cocktail from the chickee bar. Expect crowd-pleasers like grouper, charbroiled burgers, and chicken tenders.
While this isn’t exactly the classic American diner experience, Lake Park Diner is a family-friendly choice with its SWFL spin on the diner. With a diverse menu that puts a focus on sustainability, healthy food, and quality, it’s a welcoming place for families looking for good, fresh food and a relaxed atmosphere.
Best Kid Friendly Pizza Places in Naples, FL
For those craving authentic Italian cuisine, Mino is an excellent choice. With its cozy setting and a menu boasting delicious pasta dishes, it’s a great place for families to enjoy a hearty meal together. The staff is warm and welcoming and typically offers to let the kid make their own pizzas. If it’s not currently on the menu, tell them that we said they have to do it because it is so fun and so worth it.
Pro Tip: The venue is small, so it’s best to make a reservation!
If you’re in the mood for pizza, Pizza Jones and Lowbrow are both local favorites owned by the same people. One is located in East Naples, and the other is located in Bayfront close to downtown. They have slightly different menus, but both are delicious and worth a visit. Even Barstool President is a fan!
Naples, FL, is not only renowned for its beautiful beaches but also for its family-friendly dining options. From the heart of downtown Naples to the historic districts and waterfront locations, these amazing restaurants offer a perfect blend of delicious cuisine and a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring a memorable dining experience for the entire family.

Is 5th Avenue South in Naples, FL Kid Friendly?
Did you notice that none of my recommendations include restaurants on 5th Avenue South?
I actually love our iconic downtown and all the fine dining there. However, we rarely visit as a family. I love doing date night there and meeting friends for brunch, but it’s not my favorite spot for family dining. I wouldn’t say that it isn’t kid-friendly, because it can be, especially for a trip to Kilwin’s and a stroll down the street. However, most people who frequent 5th are a little less tolerant of children, so we tend to take the kids to places where I know they will be welcome.
Pro Tip: If you really want to visit 5th Avenue South in Naples with the kids, do it! You really can’t go wrong with any of the restaurants. Try going early or even go for lunch to avoid the crowds.
