A more organized blogger would have had this list to you well before Black Friday to help you get the best deals, but I’m not that organized this year. Finding the time to blog with 3 kids has been a challenge! Nevertheless, I have deals and products to share with you that I know you will love.
All of these products of Eat, Drink, and Save Money approved. Meaning this isn’t the blog post with suggestions to buy Fingerlings and Hatchimals. I’m sorry, friend, but I can’t honestly tell you those toys are a good bang for your buck. Instead, you’ll find a bunch of quality items on my list that I personally recommend because I know you’ll get your moneys worth and more.
This isn’t a sponsored post, it’s a post full of goodies that I love so I know you’ll love them too! Don’t forget to shop through Ebates to save money. Learn more about shopping through Ebates here.

Best Bang for Your Buck Christmas Gift Guide 2017
When it comes to toys for Christmas, I want to make sure I buy quality toys that are built to last. I’m a fan of toys that have been thoroughly reviewed. As a toy tester myself, I know that lots of time and effort goes into the testing of toys, which is why I am a huge fan of Oppenheim Toy Portfolio.
The Oppenheim Toy Portfolio reviews toys year round. Toys are reviewed by kids, staff and parents, and they do not accept money for reviews. All the toys are reviewed unbiasedly and only the best toys are given awards.
Head to the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio website to find the best toys for your kid.
It’s easy to go overboard with candy when stuffing stockings. I like to find small gifts and a few snacks to fill our stockings. Here are my favorites this year:
Arts & Crafts from the Target Dollar Spot
Cups- sippy cups for kids, coffee cups for adults
Garden in a Jar– Enter to win a free set from Back to the Roots at the end of this post!
Use code: EATSAVE10 for 10% off any Indoor Gardening Kit – the code will expire at @ 11:59 pm PST on 12/31/17
High Quality Chocolate from Local Chocolatiers– beats mass produced stuff any day. Norman Love is my local one.
It’s always hard to buy unique gifts at reasonable prices, right? That’s why I put together this post on unique gifts under $30. Click here to read it.
My personal favorite is the donut and coffee earrings. Aren’t these adorable? Totes putting them in my own stocking this year!
Experience gifts such a memberships and travel rank at the top of my list for family gifts.

LAST MINUTE GIFTS
If you wait until the last minute you can always send a subscription box as a gift. This is one of my favorite even if you don’t wait until the last minute. It’s the gift that keeps on giving.
Sometimes deals really are too good to be true!
For example, I had my mind set on a new bike for my 4 year old this Black Friday only to realize that the bike selling for $30 is probably a bike worth $30. After some thought and talking to other parents I’ve decided to invest more in a bike and buy one that will last longer than a year and will grow with my son and hopefully last through all 3 kids.
Used (previously loved) toys are okay!
The best part about little kids at Christmas is that they have no idea if something is new or not. Some of my best Christmas gifts have come from consignment stores and my kids haven’t even noticed. If you find a quality made toy in good shape at a fraction of the price, you’d be crazy not to buy it!
Bikes, blocks, and large toys have been a favorite of mine at consignment stores.
One final thought:
While we would all love to give our kids the best on Christmas morning, we can’t do that if we compromise our savings. Always make sure to follow sound financial practices and only spend what you can. I promise, you and your family would rather not live paycheck to paycheck just to pay for Christmas.
