These 3 time-saving coupon tips have helped me save tons of money without wasting time clipping coupons. Sometimes I miss being a die-hard couponer. It was fun and there is such a high that you can get from getting free or cheap products. I may not spend hours clipping coupons anymore, but I do still follow these three coupon tips because they save tons of time.
Here are my tips in a little more detail.
1. I always pick up store circulars to scope out deals. Publix has flyers with coupons in it that you can get when you walk in, sometimes you have to ask customer service if you don’t see any. Just last week I was able to score an extra coupon on toilet paper that was already on sale.
2. Text and email alerts save me tons of money. I frequent JoAnn’s Fabric so I am on their text alert system. I get a 50% off coupon texted to me every week. I also love Target’s mobile coupon program. If you go to a store often, you should check their website to see if they have a text or email loyalty program. It is totally worth it!
3. Do an online search for a coupon before you purchase an item. Couponmom.com has a database of printable coupons so you don’t have to search blindly. Online manufacturer coupons are so prevalent today that it makes buying a paper for coupons seem old school to me.
I may go back to hard-core coupon clipping again one day, but for now I live by these tips. While I may not be saving as much money as I did when I was buying newspapers for their inserts, these tips have helped me save a good amount.
