How is it that school is already starting this month? Some kids I know have already started school! Here in SW Florida, some schools start back this week. I still don’t believe it because it feels like summer just started!
I don’t know about you, but breakfast is always my hardest meal to cook because I’m so tired and scrambled in the morning. In order to make my mornings, as well as yours, a little easier, I put together this roundup of quick and easy back to school breakfast recipes. I don’t even have kids in school yet! Just imagine how flustered I’ll be when Robert starts pre-school.
You know about my love affair with quick and easy meals, right? As much as I love to experiment with lots of ingredients for fun flavors, I always gravitate back to my easy meals. As a mom of two, I know how important it is to find meals that won’t exhaust you before the day has even started. So, grab your coffee and check out these recipes. I promise they will help make your morning routine a little bit easier (even if you don’t have kids).
Chocolate and Strawberry Overnight Oats– Have you made overnight oats yet? This recipe from The SITS Girls is by far the easiest way to get breakfast on the table, no cooking required! If you prefer your oats hot, just zap them in the microwave for a little bit.
Breakfast Popsicles– Wow! What a fun idea from The Classy Chapter. I’ve seen people make yogurt popsicles before, but I’ve never thought to do them for breakfast. I’m confident my toddler would love this one.
Double Chocolate Breakfast Muffins– Muffins like these from Spoil My Family are favorites in my house. I love to whip up a big batch on the weekends and eat through them during the weekday. It’s such an easy way to put breakfast on the table when you are in a rush!
Perfect Cluster Granola– Who doesn’t love granola? Seriously. If you don’t like granola over yogurt, in milk, or on your ice cream, then I’m confident we can’t be friends. I love this recipe from And Don’t You Forget It. Granola never lasts long in our household!
Cat in the Hat Fruit Kabobs– this idea from Typically Simple is such a fun way to incorporate fruit in the morning.
Wild Blueberry and Croissant French Toast Casserole– This is my award-winning recipe! It’s super easy to put together the night before. Wake up before the kids and pop it in the oven so they can wake up to the smell of blueberries and almonds.
Breakfast Scramble– Make all the components for this scramble on a Sunday night, and eat your way through it during the week.
What are your favorite easy prep breakfasts? Our oven just went out yesterday so I’m playing around with crock pot breakfast recipes! I’m open to suggestions for slow cooker breakfast recipes, send them my way.
These look so good! I love the cat in the hat fruit kabobs…they’re so cute!
Aren’t they adorable! Robert is just now starting to like Dr. Suess. I think he would love this.
I love this round up! Breakfast is my favorite meal of all time, I could eat it at any time of the day! My favorite make ahead breakfast would have to be burritos because you can load them with all of your favorite breakfast foods, freeze them, and then just zap them in the morning. Plus they are portable!
Breakfast is my favorite too! I have got to do some burritos again soon. I did them last year and loved them. Great idea.
Everything looks yummy, especially the french toast and the muffins. I like that the muffins don’t have regular flour!!! Thanks.
Great roundup of breakfast recipes! I am going to share them on this weeks Frugal Friday roundup. This month we are all about Back to School. This Friday we are talking breakfast ideas and these recipes would be perfect inexpensive quick breakfasts :)
These all look wonderful. Your blueberry casserole especially! Pinned.
