While I love the ease of online shopping, it can also be a problem because it is really easy to spend way too much money. It’s taken me years to learn these secrets of savvy online shoppers. Since I love to share all my money saving tips with you, I’m sharing this list of 7 money saving secrets of savvy online shoppers that has helped me save a ton of money.

I know, I know, we all hate junk email. That’s why I have a special email account just for junk email. I only check it every few days or when I’m looking for a special email offer.
Shop on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
Most deals and sales occur on these days.
Always look for coupon codes
Coupon codes are everywhere. I swear, there are a so many different coupon sites our there these days. I prefer to look through all of them to find the best coupon because almost all of them have different coupons for different stores. A new one that I’m enjoying is PromoPro.com. They update the coupons everyday and even have a money saving blog. I end up staying on their website for way too long because I actually enjoy the content. They have more than just online shopping coupons. You can find some for restaurants and even theme parks.
Always make sure to do a quick search for a coupon code before you press the buy button. You can usually at least get free shipping!
Fill your cart, but don’t check out
Did you know that many retailers will contact you later with coupons if you don’t immediately buy? This is my favorite tip! So, fill up that cart and buy it for cheaper later!
Stack coupon codes
Hey, you don’t know if it’s possible unless you try it. Not all online stores will let you do this, but something they do! Can’t hurt to try!
Only buy when you have free shipping
Always. There is no reason to pay for shipping. Most retailers will give you free shipping when you hit a certain number. I almost always find that it is worth buying a little more to get free shipping. Double check to make sure you can get free returns too!
Buy used
Simply put, used things are cheaper. You can find awesome used things on Amazon, Ebay, and several online consignment stores. Amazon and Ebay are one most of the coupon code websites too!
If you follow several of these tips at once you can save big! As always, only buy when you truly need something. You can’t save money if you are spending money!

These are awesome tips! I didn’t even know that it was better to shop on certain days of the week! I always look for coupons online too but hadn’t heard of PromoPro…I’ll have to check them out!
