It’s almost become a hobby of mine to check out affordable accommodations in Orlando! I love that there are so many affordable Orlando hotels. The Wyndham Lake Buena Vista is a great one to check out because it’s the closest hotel to Disney Springs and it has two different price levels for hotel rooms: the tower and garden rooms.
We have stayed in the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista tower rooms and the Wyndham Garden. Both share the same lobby. The only difference is that the tower rooms look and feel much nicer. They are also about $30 more a night.
Check out this review of the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Garden Rooms to see all the amenities that are offered for both types of rooms.
Is it worth it to pay more for Wyndham Lake Buena Vista tower rooms?
Maybe. Maybe not. It depends on what you want in your stay.
Both rooms share the same amenities. The only difference is in the hotel rooms themselves.
The Wyndham Garden rooms feel older, are much smaller, and have rooms that lead to an outdoor hall.

These rooms are much larger, have a nicer bathroom, have an indoor hall entrance and even have additional storage space, which is great when traveling with kids.

If price is your main concern, go for the Garden rooms. They come with all the amenities of the hotel at a much cheaper price. However, if you are traveling with a baby who needs a pack and play, or with larger kids who need more room, you may want to spring for the larger room in order to stay comfortable.
I personally enjoyed the comfort of the Tower rooms over the small Garden rooms, but my family of 4 comfortably fit into each of them even with a pack and play.
What would you choose?
