I thought that was a fun title for Thrifty Thursday since I’m going to talk about wipes today. Also I’m completely wiped out from taking care of two kiddos and a husband. Life with a two month old and a two year old has me constantly tired. Of course I write this right after I post about Jackson sleeping 6 hours in a row. He’s not sleeping 6 hours in a row anymore. That’s just how life works, isn’t it? I must have jinxed myself!
I’m busy getting ready for the Fourth of July. We have lots going on this weekend between having guests in town and attending parties. Looking for some fun ways to celebrate on a budget? Check out this post.
Jackson turned two months old this week and we took a few cute photos of him. Here is my favorite.
Jackson loves to hang out in the play area and watch Robert play. It’s too freaking cute to watch. These two having been keeping me busy between play dates, doctors appointments and life in general. Because of that, I have been completely wiped by the end of the day. Which brings me to my first topic for Thrifty Thursday.
I’m a Neat Cheeks wipes brand rep!
It’s hard to find the line between blogger and influencer. Many companies are willing to send bloggers free things in exchange for reviews or commission. Sure, I would love to get tons of free things as well as commission for selling things through this website, but that’s not who I am.
Instead, I like to promote stuff that I genuinely believe it. I also LOVE promoting stuff that has been on Shark Tank (like MistoBox). For some reason I feel passionate about promoting start ups. I guess I do it because secretly I’d love to invent something and have people promote my invention. Is that silly?
I knew I wanted to be involved with Neat Cheeks when it appeared on Shark Tank a few months ago. Neat Cheeks are wipes that are flavored with Stevia that make wiping little mouths easier since they don’t taste like soap. Robert is already a fan!
I don’t get any compensation for being a rep, but I do get free wipes to share every month (you are welcome, play date moms). I also get a code to share with readers. Here is the coupon code LOVENEATCHEEKS for half off your first bundle + free shipping.
On budget!
I’m completely on budget this week. I can’t believe it! I have friends who will be in town TODAY and I already bought some food to prep for their visit. I also bought some alcohol… just a little. After all, my blog does have “drink” in the title.
Publix- $95.68
Total Wine- $50.82
Total- $146.50
Under budget by $3.50!
Disclaimer- I did buy some shoes for Robert that were WAY more than I usually spend. I also bought some clothes for myself from a consignment store. I’m not including that in my “fun money” and grocery budget because that comes from a different clothing budget that I’m not doing a great job monitoring. Once I get a little more organized, I’ll try to include that in my budget recap too. More on the shoes and consignment shopping in a later post.
Meal planning
Meal planning is still going well! Don’t forget to join me every Monday for #MealPlanMonday. It’s helping me save tons of money by wasting less food.

That’s it! It’s pretty boring over here today because I’m stressed for time. I’ve got to get gumbo going for the guests and I’ve got a few emails to answer. Oh, and I have to take care of those two rascals that call me mom.
Love your blog!!!! Keep up your positive attitude. It makes reading really fun.
Thanks! I needed to hear that.
Wow, what a clever idea for wipes. I have a 13 month old and face wiping after dinner/lunch is always a screamfest. I just use a wet wash cloth and I’m sure my baby would love a sweetened cloth!
