I’m always on the lookout for new recipes that look impressive, but are deceptively easy. This baked pear recipe is my new favorite because it’s ridiculously easy. Y’all, it’s so easy that you really don’t even need a recipe. I’ve still posted one at the end just in case you really need it!

First you bake your pears on 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Then you add a tablespoon of gorgonzola to each pear. Next you crumble some Quaker® Simply Granola Oats, Honey & Almonds on top, and finish it off with a drizzle of honey.

So simple, right?

I think one of the main reasons this is so simple, while still tasting amazing, is the addition of the Quaker® Simply Granola Oats, Honey & Almonds. The flavors combine so well with the gorgonzola and pear. It’s the perfect combination of sweet and savory. The granola with real nuts gives it a nice crunch too.

You can prepare the baked pears several ways. You can wait for the pears to cool and add in the cheese, or you can put the cheese in while the pears are warm so the cheese gets gooey.

These are also super easy to take to a party. Bake the pears at home, then assemble them quickly at the party. Add the cheese first and microwave for about 30 seconds, then add the granola and honey. I recently took these to a party and made the mistake of assembling them at home. The granola wasn’t crunchy anymore. Lesson learned! Sprinkle the granola on right before serving to maintain the crunchiness.

Use quaker oats granola to make baked pears for holiday entertaining

It’s a great dish to serve during the holidays because the granola is an excellent source of fiber with only 9g fat per serving, and 34 grams of whole grains. It’s a nice option to have in a sea of heavy holiday dishes.

My favorite thing about this dish is the aesthetics. Pears are absolutely beautiful to me. No clue why, but I love photographing fruit. Strange, right? My only issue was getting the pears to stand up perfectly in the baking dish for the pictures. See how wobbly they are here?

If you want your pears to sit perfectly too, you’ll need to cut off a piece at the bottom so they are stable in the baking dish.
