Mother’s Day is this weekend! It’s crazy to think that 3 years ago today I became a first time mom. Now I’m a mom of two little ones. Time is going by way too fast.
Back to Mother’s Day. Y’all, I’m stressing out because I still have no clue what to buy my own mom, MIL, or stepmom. While I may not have it all together for my own family, I do have some really great ideas for the new moms in your life. Look no more because I’ve got the list of best Mother’s Day gifts for new moms.
[bctt tweet=”Check out this list of the BEST Mother’s Day gifts for new moms! #mothersday #newmom”]The first Mother’s Day as a new mom is amazing. New moms want nothing more than to hold their tiny bundles of joy and take in every moment. That first year new moms could care less about spa days and time away from their kids. Save those fancy Mother’s Day gifts for the years where mom will really need a break from the kiddos.
New moms actually benefit most from little goodies for their babies. Check out this list of the 6 best Mother’s Day gifts for new moms that moms really do need (don’t hesitate to throw in a bottle of nice wine or a box of chocolates for good measure).
Fujifilm Instax Mini 70
This is my favorite one of the bunch! I love that the camera is the perfect size to throw in my purse. It’s a fun way to get one of a kind baby pictures. In my case, the baby was sleeping so I got some one of a kind toddler pictures. He even took one of me!
Wouldn’t this be a fun way to decorate a nursery throughout the year. I really wish I had gotten this right when Jackson was born so I could have taken monthly pictures with it. It’s really easy to work (my toddler can do it) and it’s super fun. It even has a selfie mode!
Sesame Street Naturals
B is for Bubble Bath (16 fl oz)
I’ve officially found my new favorite bubble bath for bath time. Not only is it tear-free, but it’s the only natural (98% derived from plant-based ingredients) bubble bath we’ve ever used that actually bubbles. I’m tired of spending a small fortune on natural bubble bath that leaves my babies sad because there are no bubbles. Robert loves the special handles on the side to help pour it into the tub for little brother. Shea butter and aloe helps keep the boys from getting too dry from their daily baths.
Tip, Tummy & Toe 2-In-1 (8 fl oz)
Can I say much more than I already said in the previous paragraph? This is just as good as the gentle bubble bath, but made for cleaning those cute little bodies!
Chubby Cheek Balm (Net Wt .5 oz)
Babies spit up and irritate their delicate skin. I love how this face balm soothes and protects. I’m not going to lie. I’ve used this on my skin too because it’s free of petroleum and kissably safe due because it’s 100% natural and includes coconut, avocado and almond oils.
Gerber’s Childrenswear
If you’ve ever had a baby, you’ve certainly clothed them in Gerber® Onesies® at least once. I love the simplicity of the solid white onesies, but they come in lots of colors and prints to create the perfect outfit. My babies have loved the comfort of these body suits. The expandable neckline makes dressing baby easy, and the ribbed leg openings are perfect for those delicious chunky thighs. You can find them in tons of sizes: Newborn, 0-3M, 3-6M, 6-9M, 12M, 18M and 24M
Boudreaux’s Butt Paste
I didn’t understand how amazing Boudreaux’s is until I had my second child. I’m completely obsessed with it now. This stuff works, even for my sensitive skinned baby. My personal favorite is the All Natural Formula formulated with soothing and calming ingredients like aloe vera to soothe and beeswax to help keep skin healthy. The best part is that it isn’t much more expensive than the regular formula!
All formulas are fast acting, pediatrician recommended, contain zinc oxide, free of parabens, preservatives, dyes and phthalates, and talc free.
Mustela® Maternity Stretch Marks Prevention Cream
This is one I didn’t get to test out because (go ahead and hate me) I don’t have any stretch marks. However, I’ve heard amazing stories about this cream from friends who swear by it. The ingredients are all natural and free of parabens, phthalates and phenoxyethanol making it safe for mother and baby. I love that it’s compatible with breastfeeding too. You know how those boobs stretch!

Arm & Hammer Truly Radiant Clean & Fresh Toothpaste
When you think about Mother’s Day, you probably don’t think about toothpaste. Let me tell you that as a mom, one of the things that helps me feel awake and alive in the morning is brushing my teeth. Sometimes I don’t get around to it until way too late in the morning! I’m trying to wake up and immediately brush mine before the kids wake up so I can experience the invigorating surge of freshness before I have to face the day.
These 6 products would definitely brighten up a new mom’s day. Consider giving one (or all) of these products to a new mom in your life. I already did! It made my day to hear that my friend Tracie loved the onesies from Gerber.
What are your favorite gifts for new moms?
Thanks Hannah! I will make sure to use that stretch mark cream especially since it’s phalate free!
