Have you ever wondered when is the best time to buy certain items? I know I have! This series of blog posts is to help you figure out what items are at their cheapest prices each month. At the beginning of every month I post what items you should be buying. Of course, only buy if you are seriously in the market. You can’t save money if you’re spending it! Here is the May edition of Best Time to Buy.
Mattresses
Mattress sales and American holidays go hand in hand. Memorial Day and Independence Day weekend are the two best times to buy mattresses. My favorite priced mattresses have been on Wayfair lately. Click here to see my favorites starting at only $99.
Refrigerators
New refrigerator models come out in May, making this the perfect time to buy older models that are just as good as the new ones.
Office furniture
Head into office supply stores after Tax Day to get the best deals on office furniture.
Memorial Day sales
This is a great time to stock up on Spring clothing and get ready for the summer. Outlets tend to have the best deals.
Outdoor gear
Now is the time to stock up on camping, fishing and other outdoor stuff such as patio furniture and fire pits. Sunscreen and bug spray tend to go on sale this time off year too.
Grilling meat
Memorial day is the perfect kick off for grilling meats. You should be able to find plenty of sales on ribs, steaks and other grilling meats.
Produce
Remember that this list is pretty subjective to where you live. For the most part all of these will be relatively low right now.
- okra
- zucchini
- rhubarb
- artichokes
- asparagus
- spring peas
- broccoli
- lettuce
- cherries
- pineapples
- apricots
Now it’s your turn! Did I miss anything? Let me know and I’ll add it!
