It’s no secret that my boys absolutely love the fact that I get the chance to review toys. What you may not know is that I actually turn down the opportunity to review a lot of toys. Most companies that reach out to me for reviews make toys that I wouldn’t want me kids to play with. As you all probably know, I’m a minimalist and I strive to teach simple living lessons to my kids. One of those lessons is that we don’t need a lot of toys to make us happy. So when we do bring toys into our home I want them to be high quality toys that will last for years, somewhat educational, and inspire creativity.

BRIO makes toys that align perfectly with my standards for toys because they are a global leader in high-quality toys that inspire endless creativity. The company has a 100+ year legacy of delivering magical, free form play experiences, exactly the type of play I want for my own kids.
As expected, my two oldest boys spend hours playing with their new BRIO toys. We’ve had them for well over two weeks and they still play with them almost everyday. It’s a big deal to have a toy that can compete with their LEGO obsession.
Here are the toys we tested:

Expand the BRIO universe and puts children at the helm of their own airport with the new Airport with Control Tower. It includes a terminal, a baggage handling system, red plane and also a flight crew. The set will inspire creative storytelling and in-the-air adventures. Ages 3+ / MSRP: $69.99
The BRIO Labyrinth has been a favorite for generations of kids. Now, BRIO has designed a new portable version specifically with younger children in-mind. The Take Along Labyrinth is two-sided and completely sealed, making it especially ideal for travel. Ages 3+ / MSRP: $29.99
BRIO toys aren’t cheap, which is a good thing! Paying a little extra money for quality toys goes a long way. You probably already know that I’m a fan of spending a little more to buy high quality products. Extra points if you can find these used in a consignment store, but be warned, these things go fast! I’m a huge fan of consignment stores and I rarely see BRIO products because once they go to the store someone buys them immediately. BRIO is one brand that I don’t mind buying brand new!
