Looking to visit Florida for spring break, but don’t want to blow your budget? I’ve got you covered! Check out this budget friendly travel list of best Florida beaches for spring break.

I don’t know if it’s just because I grew up close to the Florida line, but spring break automatically makes me think of spending long days on the beautiful sand of the Florida beaches. Growing up, I spent many spring breaks in Pensacola, Destin and the surrounding areas. Now that I live in Naples, we continue to explore the Florida beaches any chance we get.

After spending time in almost every popular beach town in Florida, I’ve come up with a list of the 7 best Florida beaches to visit during spring break that won’t break your budget. Click on each of the beaches to learn more!

Click on each of the beaches for more detailed posts about each beach.

7. Sarasota/ Siesta Key

6. Clearwater

5. St. Pete Beach

4. St. Augustine

3. Daytona Beach

2. Jacksonville/ Jax Beach

1. Panama City Beach

Pro tip: look into smaller beach towns like Venice, Navarre, and the lower keys.

These beaches aren’t big, popular spring break towns, but they are still fun to visit. A bonus is that they won’t be crazy crowded with spring breakers!

Another pro tip: Check out expensive resort towns that are out of season.

The more expensive towns in Southwest Florida and South Florida are pretty inexpensive during spring break because it’s the end of the busy season and starting to get too hot. It’s not a bad time to find a good deal on the following:

Naples/ Marco Island

The Palm Beaches

I never take Spring break. I didn’t even take it when I was in college. But it’s on my list of things that I want to be doing. You know how you look at things in life and think, we should really start doing that? Spring break has always been one of those things. I have family in Florida, so this list will definitely come in handy!

Is it amazing to be within driving distance of the beach at all times? When I think of that I wonder what the heck I am doing in the North East! That, and the fact that the temperatures have been in the teens for the last two weeks. It was 30 degrees yesterday and it felt like Spring Break!

It’s about time you take a spring break!

Yes, it is amazing to live so close to the beach. A lot of people here take it for granted, but we go at least every week, even if it’s just for a quick walk.

Thanks for so much info. I haven’t been to a Florida beach in many many years (like since I was in 4th grade in 1985). It always seems like a big trip to plan so this info from a local is nice to have. We did spend a week on the beach in Gulf Shores, AL two summers ago, but my father-in-law planned the whole trip, so no work for us :)

I grew up outside of Gulf Shores, AL. It’s by far one of my favorite beaches. Of course, I haven’t really spent time there since I was a kid. I spent every weekend of the 90’s walking the beach there. I’m so glad you got to go! You definitely need to come back to FL sometime. It’s a different vibe than Alabama, but still great fun!
