Time for another edition of Food Waste Friday.
This is going to be the last week of a fully dedicated Food Waste Friday post.
I’ve decided to combine my weekly spending and food waste posts into one big post. On Wednesday I asked my readers what they thought about my What I Spent Wednesday posts. It seems like everyone would like to know more about my spending habits, so I’m going to put more work into them and give you more of an idea of what I spend and save each week, and I’ll throw Food Waste Friday in at the end.
This will also give me more time to put together 2 high quality posts each week. My goal is to put out informative posts every Monday and Wednesday. With the increase of sponsored posts, this will help me keep my blog authentic instead of being dominated by paid posts. Side note: I made over $1200 blogging last month! I want to keep the momentum going! I’m putting together a post about how to start blogging on a budget that will be out next week.
Back to my farewell Food Waste Friday post.
I’ve been environmentally conscious about food waste since I was in college, and this is a great way for me to keep tabs on what we waste in our house. Every Friday I blog about the food we wasted. Learn more about ways to decrease food waste in this post and this post.
This week I decided to jump start my spring cleaning, starting with the fridge. I found a few things that have been hiding the last couple of week. Eek! Lots of mold! Here is what I tossed:
-moldy cream cheese
-pancakes the Robert refused to eat because he had a sore throat
-moldy pizza sauce
-expired dressing and old pancakes
-moldy bread
-soggy bread
How did you do this week?
I definitely like a peek into how others save money! I know that I can always do better with my food waste, and that makes such an impact on the overall budget. Looking forward to your new post style. :)
