Have you been asking yourself, “Is DockATot worth the money?” DockATot seems to be one of the hottest baby item. It’s all over social media, but how do you know if it’s worth the money? That’s what I wanted to know so I got one in exchange for a review. Keep reading to see why I think this item is a must have for new moms and why I wish I’d had one with all three of my boys.

Why I was Hesitant about DockATot
If you’ve been reading my blog for long, you know that I’m a minimalist, especially when it comes to baby gear. There is so much stuff out there, and companies make consumers think we need more, when in reality we don’t need much to take care of a baby other than diapers and a boob, right?
Oh, and a safe place to sleep! That is super important. These days there are so many options for a napping baby: a basinet, a Moses basket, a Rock-n-Play, a Pack-n-Play, a crib, etc. Seriously, the options are pretty overwhelming. Before getting my DockATot, I had Max sleeping in his crib, napping in his Rock-n-Play, and playing on his floor mat. And that’s just at home. Travel was a whole other ballgame!
How DockATot Made My Life Easier
The DockATot has made my life so simple because it travels easily from room to room. Max starts off playing and looking at his toy bar and then before I know it, he’s out for a nap. I literally dock him in it all the time because he’s comfortable nestled in this super soft cocoon.
This has been a complete game changer for travel too. Instead of traveling with a Pack-n-Play, a play mat, and a Rock-N-Play, all I need to do is pack my DockATot in the travel bag and go. Another reason this is great for travel is because Max is already comfortable in his DockATot and makes sleeping in a new place more comfortable.
We haven’t had to use it for bed transition yet, but I hear that the larger sized one is perfect for transitioning toddlers from the crib and to a big bed. I think I may need to order the DockATot Grand next!
I’m also a huge fan of using DockATot for tummy time. Max is so much more comfortable on this thing then he’s ever been on the ground for tummy time.
The toy bar and toys are additional purchases. While they are expensive and I don’t have a coupon code, I still think they are worth the money. The arches and toys range from $25-30 each.
Now that you know how much I love my DockATot, here are some pros and cons to help you decide if it’s for you.
- Good for napping and playing
- Safe for co-sleeping
- Perfect for traveling- has handles. You can even purchase a travel case.
- Even though it’s washable, some people complain that the covers aren’t easy to put back on. I haven’t had that issue though.
The Dockatot Deluxe is $175-200 and is the perfect size for babies.
The Dockatot Grand is the right size for toddlers and ranges from $290-300
Where to buy:
You can buy a DockATot directly from the website. Make sure to use my link here to get $10 off your order.
You can also buy them on Amazon, prices are the same on Amazon as they are on the direct website, so I’d definitely order from DockATot to get the $10 off!
So is it worth the money? Absolutely! It’s actually cheaper than buying a bunch of random things for your baby to sleep in. I love this quote from the website: “DockATot® is both a luxury and a necessity for any parent who wants their little one’s earliest years to be nestled in a happy and healthy cocoon of comfiness.”
I totally agree- DockATot is a luxury and a necessity. I’d recommend it to anyone who is looking for the best item for keeping their baby comfy during early infancy.
