I received the mirror frame kit for free through Mom Bloggers Club. All opinions are mine.

Looking for an easy bathroom update? If so, you’ll love this easy DIY mirror frame kit from Frame My Mirror. I recently had the chance to test it out and loved the product! It was easy and completely changed the look of our master bathroom.

Easy bathroom update with Frame My Mirror

I’ll be honest, I’m not the best at DIY home projects. I can tackle arts and crafts, cooking, and simple DIY projects, but if I have to measure or cut then I don’t do it. I’ve never been the best at measuring and cutting. For that reason I stay away from most big home projects, sewing, and baking.

I’ve always wanted to be good at home improvements though! It looks like so much fun on HGTV, but I know from previous disasters that it’s not one of the things I do well.  I’ve pretty much resigned to never make any home improvements myself. It’s important to know your strengths and weaknesses, right?

With Frame My Mirror, I still felt like a DIYer, without all the pressure of doing the entire project myself. I was able to add pizazz to my master bathroom without having to do much work. I still had to measure the mirror though and did that about 5 times to make sure I measured correctly. That part stressed me out just a little bit!

I never thought I’d actually have to put anything together. I honestly thought the frame I bought would come already put together. When it came in 4 pieces I almost had a panic attack. Then I almost made my brother in law put it together for me. When I realized that wouldn’t be an authentic review on my blog if I made someone else do it for me I decided to tackle it myself.

Guess what? It was so easy. As my 4 year old says, it was easy peasy lemon squeezy. I put the frame together in less than 10 minutes.

I glued it, then hammered in these little pieces. It couldn’t have been simpler.

I had it on my mirror just a few minutes later.

The best part is that I did it all by myself! This first DIY home improvement may have given me a little bug to do more. Now I can’t stop thinking about how nice our bathroom would look with new cabinets.

Be warned that this is my real life bathroom. I didn’t stage it for this post or add anything to make it look better. In fact I started getting a little stressed out when I saw how nice the frame looked in this post. For a few minutes I felt like I should redo my entire bathroom. Then I tried to remind myself that I’m an authentic frugal living blogger trying to show you what works in my life, not a full time home decor blogger.  If you really want to see some great ideas for styling your bathroom with your new frame, check out this post!

For reference, here is in image of my mirror from a post I did last year.

Here’s the same corner of my countertop with the new frame. Doesn’t the frame add so much? I love it!

Overall, I was more than happy with this experience. It was fun. It was easy. And most importantly, it was an inexpensive way to update our home.

What’s your favorite idea to update your bathroom?

I was thinking of doing the same thing to my old mirror. Where did you purchase you frame?

I like really big mirrors in a bathroom to maximize the light. Offers a very stylish and modern air. Makeup is much better done in such a mirror without imperfections.
