Have you been looking for a way to connect with your family and have them disconnect from technology? Put together an old school game night with Ellio’s Pizza. We did and it was tons of fun!
Game night with my kids is one of those things that I’ve been looking forward to since I got pregnant with Robert. That and cuddling during movies were the main motivators for getting pregnant. Silly, right?
Now that Robert is 3 he is ready to participate in game night. In fact, he asks to play games all the time. He loves Simon Says. I opt for simple games like this since he is still so young and has a short attention span. The introduction of board games like Scrabble and Clue will be fun one day!
We recently invited some good friends over for a game night and Ellio’s Pizza. I was really excited to serve my friend this pizza because she is from Long Island, NY, the birthplace of Ellio’s Pizza. Cool, right? Growing up in the South, I’d never heard of Ellio’s Pizza as a kid, and recently tried it for the first time after seeing it in Publix. I’m so happy to have this convenient, satisfying and fun meal option available in Florida. Check out the store locator at the top of the Ellio’s homepage to learn where you can purchase Ellio’s Pizza near you.
We had so much fun playing games! It was one of those evenings that actually felt relaxing and fun. I need more family and friend nights like this one. I’ve put together this list of essentials to host your own game night.
Essentials for an old school game night:
Ellio’s Pizza – We bought a bunch of Ellio’s Cheese Pizza in my grocery store, but they have five other options out there too: Pepperoni, Supreme, Five Cheese, Italian Sausage & Pepperoni, & Extra Cheese. Since it’s made with fresh ingredients and no artificial flavors, it’s an option that kids and parents will enjoy eating and that you’ll feel good about serving.
Game options – keep it simple with a list of 3-4 games that you and the kids enjoy.
Simplicity – focus on the games and the pizza instead of going crazy with decorations and food. Remember, spending time with family and friends is the focus here! It cooks up in the toaster oven in 12 – 14 minutes, which means you are spending minimal time in the kitchen and more time with your kiddos.
No shame – enjoy time with your family and act like a kid instead of worrying about cleanup and other things.
You can tell that these kiddos enjoyed the pizza, right? I tried to get some good shots of the pizza, but they were too hungry to wait! I guess this is an example of authentic blogging at its best because there was no photo shoot here. The pizza came out of the oven and the kids were immediately drawn to it.
You can get in on the game night action too! Ellio’s and Hasbro are bringing families together and you could win free Ellio’s Pizza , or tons of fun family games (or both!).
