Pumpkin beer is by far the best part of fall. Get your friends together and taste test all the best pumpkin beers with a pumpkin beer tasting party. Check out these tips to host your own fun party!

Hosting a pumpkin beer tasting party is a life highlight for me. It’s so much fun and pretty easy to execute.  If you love pumpkin, you’ll love this beer tasting party.

How to Host a Pumpkin Beer Tasting Party

Step 1: Pick up a few 4-6 Packs of Pumpkin Beer

We got 6 different types of pumpkin beer from Total Wine. This is my favorite place to go for the best wine and beer deals.

Step 2: Cover Beer Labels

Cover one of each type of beer with brown paper bags and remove the caps so no one can see which beer is which!

Put beer in a coozie first so the sweat doesn’t go through the bag.

Then label paper bags with numbers. Wrap the beers in the paper bags and make sure you remember which beer goes with which number!

Keep the answer list of the beers hidden so no one will know which one is which!

Step 3: Set Up Your Table

Use chalkboard paper so friends can could vote right on the table. You can find chalkboard paper at Target, Walmart, and craft stores. Can’t find it or don’t want to go to the store? Order a roll of chalkboard paper from Amazon.

Step 4: Set up Tasting Cups

Small Dixie Cups are perfect for tasting. Step up the tasting game a notch by adding a cinnamon sugar rim. Check out the recipe and instructions for making your own cinnamon sugar rim here.

Step 5: Cast your Votes

Step 6: Enjoy your Favorite Beer

A blind taste test is fun. You can go a step further and have people write down tasting notes so they can remember which beer has a certain flavor (um- they’ll all taste like pumpkin though).

Pro tip: Add some non-pumpkin beer to your fall beer tasting

Not everyone loves pumpkin beer. It’s a good idea to grab some Oktoberfest beer or even some Schöfferhofer Grapefruit and Pomegranate beer. Both are great festive Halloween alternatives to pumpkin beer.

You can even find some really fun Halloween Beertails from Beautiful Booze. Get all the details for the Spooky Salty Dog and the Bubbly Pom Spooky Cosmo here.

Or just drink the beer and enjoy the festive colors!
