Happy Food Waste Friday! Don’t know what to do with all your leftovers? Follow my simple trick for turning leftovers into a delicious soup. All you need is 2 ingredients that you probably already have on hand!

Easy and delicous leftovers soup

I’m so happy that I’ve decided to dip my toes back into #FoodWasteFriday because it truly is something that I love and that I’m deeply passionate about. Read this post from a few weeks ago to learn more about why I’m getting back into the groove of Food Waste Friday.

I’m finding that video is way more fun for Food Waste Friday so now I’m doing Facebook Live coverage of my food waste. However, this week I’m out of town for #BlogHer2017. Since I’m not home for a Facebook Live video, I made a video about how to use your leftovers in a delicious soup.

Check it out!

I’m not a pro at making videos yet, but I’m really proud of this one! I’m having a lot of fun making videos and hope to keep getting better.

The secret ingredients to leftovers soup

If you don’t have time to watch the video, then you’ll need to know my 2 secret ingredients: taco seasoning and ranch seasoning packets.

spices for leftovers soup

Put those two into almost any combination of leftovers and water and you have a delicious “taco-style soup”. Add diced tomatoes, beans, and onions and you are good to go.

Easy and delicous leftovers soup

This is definitely one of my favorite ways to use up leftovers. We did it with vegetables this week, but it tastes even better with chicken or ground beef.
