This review was hosted by I Heart Mac & Cheese, however all opinions are mine alone!

Think mac and cheese is just for kids? Think again! I Heart Mac & Cheese is a new fast casual concept that offers made to order macaroni and cheese as well as gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches. You are able to pick out exactly what you want in your order and everything is made right in front of you.

Robert and I stopped by I Heart Mac & Cheese on our way to visit The Palm Beaches. It was the perfect start to our mom and me getaway. It’s always fun to have one on one time with my kids. Add in grilled cheese and he was over the moon! He was even happy enough to take a selfie with me!

The chef with I Heart Mac & Cheese has worked hard to come up with a delicious spin on the regular grilled cheese sandwich. Check out this video to see how he makes the sandwiches so delicious!

I ate The Best of Both Worlds, a grilled cheese sandwich with mac & cheese and short rib with bbq sauce. It comes with a side of tomato soup for dipping. Oh em gee, this was one of the best things I have ever eaten! At $12.95, it’s not a cheap sandwich, but it is enough to split or even save for later (which I did- it made for a great dinner too).

It’s probably no surprise to find out that Robert chose to eat the kids grilled cheese. I have to admit that he was skeptical at first! He loves grilled cheese, but he was not expecting “green stuff” on it. The butter is a garlic and herb butter that has specks of green in it. Robert was not feeling it. However, after one bite, he was pretty happy and easily got over “the green stuff”.

The kids meals are super reasonably priced at $5.95 and come with tomato soup dipper and a kids drink. The staff even gave Robert some extra cookies!

Right now you can only find I Heart Mac & Cheese in Fort Lauderdale, FL, but they have a lot of locations opening up soon. Check here to see if there is an I Heart Mac & Cheese location opening near you!
