I’m pretty sure you can’t have enough green treats for St. Patrick’s Day. Lucky Charms marshmallow treats are no exception.
When I saw the all green marshmallows in the St. Patrick’s Day edition of Lucky Charms, I knew I had to get them to make Lucky Charms marshmallow treats.
I’m usually the mean mom who won’t let my kids have sugary cereal, but this time I couldn’t stop myself! While we don’t do a lot of sugar in our meals, I’ve always been a fan of keeping sweet treats around the house. Which is why it made total sense to buy these and add more sugar to them to make Lucky Charms marshmallow treats. I know, my reasoning makes no sense whatsoever. Mom life, right?
I have to admit that these have been the best bargaining tool for getting Robert to eat all of his dinner. So maybe all the sugar is actually making us healthier. Wishful thinking, I know.
Anyway, you make these Lucky Charms marshmallow treats exactly as you’d make Rice Krispie treats.
Ingredients
- 6 C. of Lucky Charms
- 3 TBSP butter
- 4 C. of miniature marshmallows
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium high heat. Melt in marshmallows and remove from heat. Add Lucky Charms and stir until well combined.
- Using a buttered spatula, spread mix into a well greased or buttered pan. Let cool and then cut into squares.
