Mornings are so much easier when kids have a routine. That’s why I love this morning routine checklist. This photo checklist is perfect for preschoolers who can’t read yet.
Use photos for your routine checklist
As easy as it is to print out a ready made checklist, it’s not as much fun. Plus, I really wanted Robert to have ownership of his morning routine checklist. Robert and I set aside 30 minutes one morning to discuss his morning routine. Seeing as how he is three, it wasn’t as much of a discussion as it was a ridiculous conversation about all the things he wants to do at school. Even so, I tried to steer him back on track by going through the routine of waking up, eating breakfast, getting dressed and packing up his backpack.
