Do you love Despicable Me and Minions? If so, you need to make this super easy Minions Munch recipe. It’s a fun way to bring some flair to your Minions party. Even if you aren’t having a party, it’s a fun snack to eat while watching the movies.
I didn’t understand the minions until I had kids. The movies seemed silly to me and the minions themselves downright annoyed me. The whole minions crazy flabbergasted me.
Then I had kids who wanted to watch Despicable Me. I folded and watched it with Robert one day. Ten minutes into it and I was hooked. Truth be told, I still don’t quite understand the appeal of the minions. However no one in my family, including me, can say the word banana without saying it like a minion. Obviously they had a lasting impression!
When the Minions movie came out last year, the boys and I cuddled on the couch, ate Minions pizza, and snacked on this Minions Munch. We haven’t had a Minions party or a Despicable Me party yet, but I wouldn’t be surprised to find one in my future.
If you are hosting a Minions themed party or just want to liven up your own family movie night, you should try making this Minions munch. It’s incredibly easy and really impresses the kids.

- 1/4 C. of yellow candy coated chocolates
- 1 0.88 oz package of candy eyes

It’s possible to buy bulk M&M’s in every color imaginable on Amazon. Here are the blue ones and here are the yellow ones. Personally I never need a full pound of a single color of M&M’s so I prefer to buy mine from Party City. They are a little more expensive if you compare it by weight, but I’m able to buy less, pay less, and waste less.
As for the chocolate covered popcorn. We opted for chocolate because it is what we had on hand from a Christmas tub of popcorn. Regular popcorn would work just fine. Feel free to buy chocolate coated popcorn or make your own. No matter how you do it, you can’t go wrong with chocolate and popcorn!
Is anyone else super excited about the Despicable Me 3 movie coming out in June? I know I am! I’m already getting my kids hyped up for it!
