Holy cow! I’ve got some exciting news to share with you.
I won a recipe contest!
My recipe for Wild Blueberry and Croissant French Toast won a contest from Green Moms Meet and Wild Blueberries. Even though I’m a blogger and write every single day of my life, I’m terrible with using words to describe emotion. I seriously can’t even explain to you how excited I am.
Mostly, I’m excited because this means I’m no longer a food blogger imposter. Did you know I felt like that? While I share recipes and write about food every week, I’ve never felt like a true food blogger. My blog is a hodge podge of frugal living, recipes, and motherhood. I’ve continued to churn out easy and fun recipes, but I never expected to have people like them. The internet, especially Pinterest, is full of so many amazing recipes that it is hard to compete with all the good stuff out there. I’m honored that someone liked my recipe so much that it won a contest.
The prize for this contest is a Vitamix blender! This is perfect timing for me to get my dream blender since we plan to buy a new house soon. I’ll finally have room for all the kitchen appliances I’ve dreamt about for so many years. The prize is exciting, but I’m more excited about the fact that I won. I finally feel like a legit food blogger.
I’ve had some other exciting food opportunities come my way lately. I was asked to join the Culinary Content Network with The Daily Meal. It is an invitation only group of food bloggers, recipe writers, and restaurant reviewers who contribute their knowledge to The Daily Meal.
Food has always made me happy. Sharing ways to put easy, delicious, and budget friendly meals on your table makes me even happier. Living on a budget shouldn’t mean you’re destined for a life of Hamburger helper. It is possible to live frugally and eat delicious meals every single day. Keep coming back here for more! Your support means the world to me.[bctt tweet=”Living on a budget shouldn’t mean you’re destined to eat Hamburger helper”]
