I know the title is cliche. It’s true though, when one door closes, another one opens.
This e-card explains how I’ve felt this week between the closing of one door and the opening of another.
I’m very excited to share with you that another door did open for me this week. I’m going on a press trip as a travel writer to visit Los Cabos in April! To eat. Yes, to eat. I’m going on a hosted trip to eat and take pictures of the food at a resort. I’m still pinching myself. It’s always been my dream to travel the world and eat. Even as I kid I loved to eat around the world. When I would go to Disney World, all I wanted to do was eat around Epcot.
As you can imagine, this week started off rough for me. I’m pregnant, hormonal, and was really upset to be missing my trip to India. I started off the week in tears looking at the picture below. Now I’m ending the week all smiles.
Obviously, Cabo is a little different from India. In contrast to the third world poverty I would have seen in India, I’ll be lounging by the beach in a resort town that caters to the rich and famous. It’ll be a much safer way to travel while pregnant!
It’ll certainly be a different travel experience than I had intended for 2017. As much as I love to see how locals live across the world, I’m eager to put up my feet and relax after ten days of taking care of a 3 year old and a one year old.
Here’s an image from the Hacienda Encantada where I’ll be staying.
I can’t wait to share all of my experiences with you next month. Make sure you’re following my Facebook page, Twitter account, and Instagram account. I’ll share updates of my trip there before I have a chance to blog about it.
To make this week even better, I’m off to Alabama to visit family right now! When I get back, Tom will be home. I really don’t think life could get better at this moment. It just goes to show that when one door closes, another one opens, even if the hallway can be a bitch.
I hope you are all smiles this weekend too! Happy Friday.
