Just a quick post today to tell you some very exciting news. I can’t believe I’m about to type out this sentence:

We owe less than $10,000 on Tom’s student loans. 

Remember when we started out with over $180,000 in loans? That was less than 7 years ago!

Check out this loan application we had to sign when we bought our first house in 2010.

We had $175,456 in student loans the day we signed for our house.

And now we are down to the very last bit. I never thought I’d say that $10,000 seems like a tiny number, but it does!

Did you see this picture I posted on Facebook? Tom took a screen shot when we paid off one of his loans. I love seeing that zero balance!

I just want to remind you that you can live comfortably while paying off debt. It’s all about your mindset!
