I’ve been doing pretty well lately with being frugal and getting free things. Here is my roundup for Thrifty Thursday:
PinchMe box arrived
I got my first PinchMe box in the mail this week. Once a month PinchMe members pick out free samples and it is delivered for free. I was really impressed with my first box because I got a full size bar of soap!
Everything in the box was amazing and I was able to sign up for my second box on Tuesday. This time I was only able to get two samples. I think they have too big of a demand to meet which means that by the time everyone is logged on, they are already out of most of the good stuff. Even if you can’t get samples one month, it is fun to get them from time to time. It’s free! Why not give it a try?
I hosted my #HiddenValleyRanchers party
My play date group and I had way too much fun with this party from CrowdTap. Mostly because the party favors included dip clips. This little clip attaches to your plate so you can keep your dip separate from your meal. My goodness, we had fun with it.
The spread was delicious and everyone got to talk about their favorite ways to use Hidden Valley Ranch. Even the kids enjoyed eating the veggies with the ranch dip.
Best oil change ever
I went to Valvoline for an oil change and they did it in less than 10 minutes while I waited in the car with Robert. It was amazing to not have to take him out and wait in the waiting room.
They had a $10 off coupon that I used and they told me that every Wednesday is Ladies Day where women get $10 off. I’m totally taking Tom’s car back on Wednesday. I still can’t get over how nice they were and how they didn’t try to upsell me on anything.
Trying to get excited about cloth diapers again
I got spoiled with disposables on our Charleston vacation and have been very tempted to make a permanent switch to disposables. I’m even going to give The Honest Company a try (this is a bit of a switch from my usual Seventh Generation diapers).
I can’t get over how expensive disposables are so I’m giving cloth one last solid effort. I’m only doing disposables for naps and night time because I’m convinced he sleeps better with the extra absorption.
Experimenting with LoopPay
I was offered a free LoopPay fob in return for an honest review post. So far I’m enjoying it even though there is a bit of a learning curve. I can’t wait to give you my full review soon! Make sure to check out their site. You can pay wallet-less any place that has a swipe credit card machine. It’s so easy! And fun.
Anyone else being thrifty this week?
