This post about the Think and Learn Rocktopus is sponsored by Fisher-Price. All opinions are my own.
My kids never complain about my job as a blogger because they love the chance to review toys. What kid wouldn’t, right? My kids love this part of my job so much that they would rather me review toys than take them on a vacation to a theme park!
So when the Think & Learn Rocktopus™ by Fisher Price arrived at our door just in time for holiday toy reviews, my kids couldn’t have been more excited. My kids are tough critics. They are pretty honest when it comes to reviewing toys so rest assured that if my kids enjoyed playing with the Rocktopus, yours probably will too.
What Makes the Think and Learn Rocktopus a Great Toy
- Different sound levels- as a mom, I’m always looking for toys that can keep the kids engaged without driving me crazy. Honestly, I don’t always love toys that make a lot of noise, but this one is great because you can choose to have the low volume or high volume.
- Three play modes- Kids can choose between math, music, and game. My 5 year old has fun with the math while my 3 year old has more fun with the music and game modes. I love that they can play differently with the same toy. For the record, the one year old plays with it too. He just does a lot of banging!
- Quality time toy- This is a great toy to play with your kids because it involves a lot of creativity. Not all toys are designed to play together, but this one is great for a group of kids or playing as a family.
What You Need to Know About the Think & Learn Rocktopus
The Rocktopus comes with 15 different musical instrument pods. It’s super cool, but also super easy to lose the pieces. As soon as you open your Rocktopus, find a bag or storage container to keep all the pieces. Trust me on this one. With a one year old in the house I found these pieces all over my house: under beds, under the couch, behind the crib. I now have all the pieces in one clear storage container so we can keep all the pieces together.
Where to buy the Think and Learn Rocktopus
You will find the best deals for the Think and Learn Rocktopus at Walmart. To make it even better, the holiday layaway program is back at Walmart! I love the layaway program because it allows you to make payments without the added stress of paying interest. If you are given the choice between layaway and credit, alway choose layaway!
The Think and Learn Rocktopus is the Perfect Gift for Music Loving Kids
Heck, this is a great gift even for kids that don’t love music. Not that I know of a kid who doesn’t love music. Isn’t that innate or something?
Seriously though, if you have a preschooler that loves music, this is a great gift for them since it’s educational and fun. I’m always looking for gifts that check all the boxes. Let me reassure you that this toy really does check all the boxes!
