Why do I recommend it?

I might be a little OCD about keeping certain areas of my house clean, and one of those areas is the countertops. I was just using a granite countertop cleaner, and honestly, I don’t know how well it disinfects. It left my counters streak-free and hello! No bleach! Ever since having kids, I’ve slowly been cutting down on the amount of cleaning products I use with bleach. And the heavy duty in the name of this cleaner is no joke! I’ve got too may sets of sticky hands to mess around with something that doesn’t cut through the grime quickly!

The Krud Kutter Kitchen Degreaser and All-Purpose Cleaner was fantastic on and around my stovetop. My family’s love of bacon is real, but it is a mess! I used to run the tap water until it was boiling hot, scrub, dry, then go back over with a separate cleaner to get rid of the grease splatter. Way too many steps. What is The Scrub Daisy Dishwand System? 

This dishwand system is a new product of Scrub Daddy, the extremely popular sponge that has revolutionized dishwashing.

Okay, is it just me, or do you see these Scrub Daddy sponges everywhere? Seriously, the grocery store, Target, pretty sure I’ve seen them at Home Depot. This is a line of products I’ve yet to try, despite hearing good things about them. I’m so glad I had the opportunity to try out the Scrub Daisy! First of all, it’s just plain fun. I used this primarily to clean out sippy cups and compared to the bottle brushes I used before (that looked like mini toilet bowl scrubbers) this is cute and looks so nice in the Vase & Valet caddy! Seriously, that alone had me sold. It has a section cup base to secure it the counter, and it drains right into the sink!

The dishwand has three different flower attachments — the Daisy, Sunflower and Hyacinth — each specializing in tackling different dining-, cook- and drink-ware. This cute little scrubber worked like a charm and the best part is these sponges don’t smell! I’ve gotten rid of too many still-useable sponges just because they smelled awful. But not these! Which means money saved in the long run! The wand is ergonomic and dispenses soap, so you’ve got comfort and ease while scrubbing away!

Waterpik: Water Sense Showerhead

What is the Water Sense Showerhead? 

The showerhead is a low-pressure, high-volume showerhead that will save you money and help conserve water!

Wy do I recommend it?

Here is a great way to save money without sacrificing experience. Experience, you say? For a shower? For me, taking a shower is one of the only things I get to do by myself every day. As a stay-at-home mom, I share my time, my food, most of my energy and brain space. But not the shower! So yes, showering is an experience. Switching to a low-pressure shower head is a good way to cut down on water use and save a little money each month. With the Water Sense Showerheads, the use of OptiFLOW engineering allows for a powerful shower even with water flowing at a lower pressure. I was doubtful about this because I had decent water pressure in my shower. I thought. Apparently the factory brand shower head I have been using since moving into my house wasn’t channeling the water as efficiently as the Water Sense Showerhead does. Duck Brand: Duck Pack & Track

This is an amazing way to store or pack up your belongings before a move. Using an app on your smartphone and the barcoded labels, you can easily locate specific items without having to tear through every box or bin you’ve packed!

Wy do I recommend it?

Okay, here’s me when it comes to home storage. Try to fill up a plastic storage bin with as many related items as possible. Realize I still have room in said storage bin, so I throw in some random stuff. Close it up, store it in my closet or attic, then my memory is wiped clean of packing until the time comes when I’m looking for something in particular in storage. At that point, I open up all my bins, rummage through them, creating chaos and wasting a lot of time in the process.

Needless to say, I was really excited to try the Duck Pack & Track system. You can pick up these sticky labels at Walmart or order them online at Walmart.com. You label the box whatever category it is you’re packing up. For example, let’s say Kitchenware. I’ve recently started cleaning out my kitchen cabinets of cookware that I don’t always use in order to de-clutter. Each label has a barcode that you scan into the the Duck Pack & Track app on your smartphone (available for Apple and Android systems). In the app, I log the name of the box Kitchenware, just as I’ve written on the label. After that, you can itemize what’s in the box! There is an option to type it in manually, or you can say out loud each item and the app will type it in for you. So now I know that my Kitchenware box has a blue and white 9×13 inch casserole dish, my Pyrex glass storage containers, etc. And as I continue to de-clutter and add more boxes, I can look specifically for those things even if I have two, three, four boxes of Kitchenware. All I have to do is pull up the boxes on the app and view the list of items, or I can search within the app and it’ll pull up the specific box.

It’s your own personal inventory! And you won’t lose it because it’s stored in the app on your phone. This really is genius and is a huge time-saver in the long run for storage and I can’t even imagine how amazing it would be for moving.

Westcott Scissors

What are the Westcott? 

These are highly affordable and effective, titanium-reinforced scissors that will seriously be the last pair of scissors you ever need to buy.

Wy do I recommend it?

These are called the World’s Favorite Scissors, and I totally get why. Using these is like running a hot knife through butter — oh my gosh!! I can’t tell you how frustrated I get with scissors. I have several pairs of scissors in my house, and they are all trash. Trying to cut fabric with them is impossible. They completely give up when I try to cut through cardboard. My hands get tired just forcing them to cut through something as pliable as cardboard. With kids in the house, they like to make crafts. An empty Pringles can is a telescope, an old Amazon box becomes a mailbox. I end up doing a lot of cutting and our scissors just can’t keep up. But Westcott scissors are so amazing! The soft grip handles won’t strain or hurt your hands, not that it’s even that necessary, because cutting through material with these is so easy!

Also, have you ever cut through something sticky with regular scissors? Then the blades are left with adhesive residue and the blades start sticking together? So annoying! The blades on the Westcott scissors have a non-stick coating so they are adhesives resistant and they won’t corrode! I’ve even used these in the kitchen and wasn’t worried about washing them afterwards!
