Irish blessings make me happy. To celebrate the lucky day, I have a super cute St. Patrick’s Day printable quote to liven up your St. Patrick’s Day decor.
I grew up singing this Irish blessing at camp:
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
I always feel at peace when I sing it, whether it’s in my head or out loud. Though I should admit that I rarely sing out loud. It’s not a pretty sound! Even though I don’t love my voice, I love hearing myself sing this one song.
Since my years at summer camp I’ve absolutely loved Irish blessings and quotes. Since I also love to entertain, I thought this one was very fitting for my frugal living lifestyle.
I taped it up to a chalkboard with gold washi tape.
It brightens my day when I walk past it. I hope my home will always be too small for all of my friends!
