Star Spangled Sangria Spritzer is the perfect drink for Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day

Now that I’m no longer pregnant, I can enjoy an occasional drink!  I’m extremely excited about getting back into the swing of Hannah’s Happy Hour reviews.  When I first started this blog I wanted to showcase that you can enjoy nice alcoholic drinks on a budget.  I hope I can start posting more in my “drink” category now that Jackson is here.

To kick off the celebration, I put together this easy peasy sangria recipe.  I always love a good sangria, but I don’t usually have brandy or other liquor on hand to add to mine.  We just don’t do a lot of liquor in this house since wine and beer are so tasty to us.  After researching a bunch of different recipes, I came up with this super easy white wine sangria spritzer hybrid recipe that is easy and delicious.  There are only three ingredients which means you can’t mess it up!

Star Spangled Sangria Spritzer

You can enjoy a star spangled sangria spritzer anytime of the year, but when you add pineapple, strawberries and blueberries it makes the perfect drink for Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day.  With Memorial Day right around the corner you I figured now would be the perfect time to try out this recipe.  Tom and I had fun testing it out, we especially had fun picking out the perfect budget friendly wine.  We went with Flip Flop Riesling because it gives it the perfect amount of sugar to complement the fruit.

We bought our Flip Flop Riesling at Total Wine for less than $5, making this a super affordable spin on sangria.  The lemon sparkling water adds a citrus flavor that is perfect for a warm summer day.  I can’t wait to sit by the pool and sip this on Memorial Day!
