The AdvoCare giveaway was so much fun! I loved getting people involved and starting a conversation about direct sales. This week I’m focusing on Shannon’s Stella and Dot story. I met Shannon while I was teaching and she always had the best jewelry. My jewelry collection has gotten so much better since meeting her. The best part is that I always get my jewelry half off or free because of a hostess party perk. I’ve learned that hosting direct sales parties has big perks! Read her story to find out more.
My name is Shannon Gryder, and I am a Senior Stylist with Stella & Dot. I became involved with this company originally for no reason other than I LOVED the jewelry, and wanted the stylist discount! Once I started, I realized I could really supplement my teaching salary with just a trunk show or two a month. A typical month for me is 2 shows, and for that I average $500 in commission. This pays for my daughter’s guitar lessons, my son’s baseball, and my housecleaner (my personal splurge!). My best months are before the holidays- this past October I earned over $1800 just in personal commission, which paid for our spring break vacation. My sponsor has built a large team and Stella & Dot is her full time job–last year, she earned close to 6 figures. This really is a business that can be as small or big as you want, and flexes to fit your lifestyle.
