Survey Saturday is turning out to be a fun way for me to learn more about my readers. I’m loving the interaction. Here are the results for last week’s question:
Do you and your partner fight over money?
Yes- 36%
No- 36%
We used to, but don’t anymore- 28%
I think it is pretty cool that my readers are divided on this question. It goes to show that just because you are financially savvy (which I assume my readers are), it doesn’t mean disagreements won’t arise. From the comments it seems like most of us still have disagreements, but we don’t tend to have knock down, drawn out fights over money. I still think a healthy disagreement in a relationship is a good thing every now and then. Wouldn’t it be boring if we all agreed on everything?
Now, on to this week’s question.
Tax season is here! I’ll be doing a few tax related posts this month and it got me thinking about incorporating tax questions into Survey Saturday.
Here is my answer:
We have not filed taxes yet. Every year we tend to wait until the last minute, not the very last minute, but pretty close. Tom used to let me do taxes until I messed them up two years in a row. Now it is his job! We will probably get around to filing in the next couple of weekends.
I can’t wait to hear your answers! Feel free to add more to the conversation in the comments.
Mine are ready to be filed but I’m waiting on the confirmation that something was done before I submit them. We owe a lot of money this year so I’d like to wait until the last possible moment to file, but my 2 oldest sons need me to fill out their FAFSA forms for college and I can’t do that until about 2 weeks after I’ve filed the taxes (because it pulls the IRS information into it) so I really need to be filing them yesterday. Oh well.
Hopefully for you the FAFSA will have been simplified or maybe even eliminated by the time your sons are seniors in high school. Ugh.
Ugh, FAFSA. I remember that being a pain when I went off to college. Good luck! I agree, I hope it is simplified by the time my kids go off to college.
