Do you like to travel?
Do you enjoy getting the lowest rates on hotels?
Do you like to share your travel experiences through social media?
If you answered yes to any of those questions, you’ve got to check out Travel Pony (travelpony.com).
At first glance, their site looks similar or even less encompassing than competitor sites. When you compare the list price of hotels on Travel Pony to the competitors, you get the same exact price. The thing that makes Travel Pony so unique is that they offer extra 10-45% savings when you share your booking experience through Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn. An extra 10-45% savings makes it a no brainer when booking. Why would you choose the competition when you can get a better price with Travel Pony?
Wait, it gets even better! When you share the experience on social media you can share a link to the site. That link allows each of your friends to get a $35 credit (that CAN be combined with the 10-45% off) and you get a $25 credit anytime a friend of yours stays at a hotel.
Here is my link if you’d like to cash in on your $35 credit.
Booking was easy and I was able to sign in with my Facebook account. Tom and I had fun picking out a place to stay and booked a room at the Waldorf Astoria Naples for a weekend in December. It will be our first baby free night since Robert arrived! I’m already counting down the days!
If I had booked through the Waldorf Astoria, I would have paid $298 a night. Travel Pony (and all competitors- I checked) had the room for $219 a night. My saving code got me $22 off, which paid for taxes, and my travel credit covered everything but $17. Yup, we are going to the Waldorf Astoria for only $17! Even without my sharing credit, I would have saved 34% off the original list price! That’s huge!
There are some cons to the site. If you want the whole package of flights and car rental then it may be worth paying the extra money to go to a bigger site. However, I’ve found those “package deals” to be a scam. We always book everything separately because we can find better individual deals. If saving money is key for you, you’ve got to use Travel Pony. The only other downside is that I had a bit of trouble with their mobile site. I found their full site to be much easier to navigate. This could be because I’m old, not because of their site.
I get contacted every now and then to review products, websites, and apps. About 99% of the time I have to turn them down because there is no way I’d recommend it to my readers. When I was contacted by Travel Pony, I assumed I would turn them down too. I’d never heard of the website and was unimpressed with their mobile site. After spending tons of time on their full site, I can honestly recommend Travel Pony to all my readers. Seriously, you’ve got to check it out!
Don’t forget to cash in on your $35 credit!
What is your favorite travel booking website? Have you tried Travel Pony? What do you think?
I was given a travel credit in return for my honest review. All opinions are completely my own.
