Have you ever wondered how to travel well on a budget? My favorite tip is to get Black Friday & Cyber Monday resort deals.
We all know that Black Friday and Cyber Monday are great days to save big when shopping, but did you know that those are great days for scoring travel deals as well?
Tons of high end resorts will sell rooms for rock bottom prices this week. How do they do it? Well, they give you specific dates to book that are usually part of their off season.
This is a great way to stay at a high end resort as a vacation or even a staycation if you have a favorite local resort. Personally, I hate traveling when a resort is too busy, so I’m happy to book a room in the off season. Less crowds = more fun.
There are so many resort deals out there this week that it may be overwhelming, that’s why I’m going to share two of my favorites that will blow your socks off!
Bottom line: Now is the time to book a vacation for early 2017!
[bctt tweet=”Now is the best time to book a #vacation for early 2017. #traveldeal” username=”eatdrinkandsave”]Deal #1: Omni Resorts
Omni Resorts has a Black Friday deal called Colder Weather, Hotter Deals. These deals are available for booking through November 29th for stays through February 28, 2017. Rates start at $89 per night but vary by property.
Can you imagine staying in an Omni for only $89 a night?! I’m sold!
I recently stayed at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort and absolutely loved it. What’s not to love about this view?
They have so much to offer, but I was most impressed by the family activities. Robert was able to search for sharks teeth and make them into a necklace. He was also able to play mini golf and hang out in their game room. When my kids are happy, I’m happy! I can’t wait until our next stay at an Omni.
Deal #2: Naples Grande
I recently had the pleasure of going to the Naples Grande. It’s a fabulous spot! I’m so happy I’m a local who can take advantage of their deals for a reasonably priced staycation.
On Cyber Monday the Naples Grande is offering $99 room rates for stays from Sunday – Thursday between June and September. Blackout dates apply and pricing excludes resort fees, parking, incidentals and taxes. Additional restrictions may apply. Visit www.naplesgrande.com/cyber for more details.
Here is a view from one of their rooms.
The resort isn’t right on the beach. Instead it is surrounded by wetlands and protected areas. It makes for a gorgeous view and a beautiful walk to the beach.
I have so much more to share about the Naples Grande, but I’ll save that for a more detailed post later. Until then, here is a teaser of photos.
The waterslide at the pool:
Fabulous food at their on site restaurant, The Catch of the Pelican:
And awesome drinks that you can get during happy hour, or any time:
Have I made you want to book your next vacation yet? I hope so. Staying at a high end resort on a budget is possible if you do it right.
What are your favorite tips for high end travel without breaking the bank?
I love those views! Second honeymoon?
These places look great! I love the Omni at Amelia Island and the Naples Grand pool is beautiful! I’ll have to check out these deals!
Maybe we can do a “blogging retreat” at the Naples Grande one day!
