A huge thank you to the artist who created these Baby Yoda images. I didn’t draw these myself, I simply bought the images through this Etsy shop. You can make your own too! Check out Two Guinnea Pigs for Kids for some pretty fantastic art.
Confession: I’m not even a huge Mandalorian fan!
I know, I know, am I even a Star Wars fan if I’m not watching The Mandalorian on Disney+?
I am indeed a Star Wars fan, but we haven’t watched all of The Mandalorian yet. We finally got Disney+ on our Amazon Fire Box but haven’t even finished the first season. Meanwhile we watched one episode and the kids are still obsessed with Baby Yoda.

Even though I’m not watching The Mandalorian, I’m hyper aware of the buzz surrounding Baby Yoda. I mean, really, how can you not be obsessed with a teeny tiny Yoda-like character?
You can even make Baby Yoda nachos! Super cute, right?

What to pair with your Baby Yoda Valentine’s Day Cards
As a frugal minimalist and environmentalist, I’ll be the first to tell you that you don’t have to give anything else with these Valentine’s Day cards. A card to a friend is gift enough, especially if the kids write their own special message on the back.
Let’s be real. Your kids will come home with enough junk anyway. Why contribute?
We already know that we are in the middle of a climate crisis so why buy more plastic junk or candy wrapped in plastic just because it is Valentine’s Day?
Here are a few eco-friendly and budget friendly gifts that your kids can give on Valentine’s Day with their Baby Yoda cards:
- Recycled crayon hearts
- Pencils
- Seed paper cut into hearts (this one comes wrapped in one plastic bag, buy hey, it’s better than giving 30 individually wrapped treats, right?)
- Homemade candied nuts
- Homemade granola
- Homemade play dough
Wrap any of these in wax paper or compostable bags. You could even buy a few little mason jars for giving homemade treats to teachers. This size is perfect for small treats.

These are adorable! Will definitely be printing out for my kids to give to their classes. When did Valentine’s Day become another day of getting and giving plastic junk? I remember making milk carton mailboxes and getting just cards and loving it! Thanks for posting these Earth friendly ideas!
My thoughts exactly! It’s crazy. I went to Target today and there are at least 3 aisles devoted to Valentine’s Day candy and junk! So much stuff that we don’t need.
